Q: Can I walk in without a reservation?
A: Yes, we do welcome walk-ins, but please be aware that we cannot guarantee a table. To avoid disappointment please book in advance.

Q: Does House of Tides have a bar area?
A: Yes, we do have a bar area. Please feel free to arrive early for a drink in our bar area prior to your meal.

Q: Does House of Tides have a dress code?
A: House of Tides has a very relaxed atmosphere. We want you to be comfortable during your dining experience, so we do not have a strict dress code policy. We only ask for no shorts, sleeveless t-shirts, hats, flip flops & Sunderland football shirts.

Q: Do you accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies?
A: We gladly accommodate most dietary restrictions and food allergies with advance notice. Please note we are unable to cater for vegans. Please email info@houseoftides.co.uk with any further questions.

Q: Is there wheelchair access?
A: Yes, please inform us when making a reservation if you or any member of your party will require wheelchair access. Due to the nature of the building we cannot accommodate wheelchair access onto the main restaurant floor. We can accommodate wheelchair access on the ground floor should you require. Disabled toilets are available on the ground floor.

Q: How long should we allow to enjoy the House of Tides experience?
A: We would recommend allowing 2 ½ to 3 hours depending on table size to enjoy your experience comfortably.

Q: What happens if I am running late?
A: Contact info@houseofides.co.uk if you are running late. Please note that arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in missing part of your experience.

Q: Are children allowed at House of Tides?
A: Yes, we do allow children. We only allow children over the age of 8, due not only to the length of the meal but also to the potential disruption to the other guests. If you would like to bring your child, kindly note that we do not have a children’s menu and that they would receive the same tasting menu.

Q: Can I bring my own wine?
A: We do not allow any outside wine, we do, however, offer carefully selected wine pairings to accompany our menu. Our sommelier team is always happy to discuss your wine selection the evening you dine.

Q: How often do you change menu at House of Tides?
A: While we do update our menus regularly, we only use ingredients in their prime, so dishes can change daily subject to market availability and seasonality. Please contact reservations for today’s menu.

Q: Can I take a menu after my visit to House of Tides?
A: Yes, a printed menu will be available for you to take home after your meal.

Q: Are there car parking facilities?
A: Unfortunately, we do not have a car park; However, there is a public car park opposite our restaurant, £1.20 per hour and free after 6pm, Also, there are several car parks within short walking distance from the restaurant.

Q: Where is the nearest train station?
A: Newcastle Central Station is only a 10-minute walk away from the restaurant
