Kenny & Abbie opened their restaurant “House of Tides” on the historical Newcastle Quayside on February 2014. Set within the beautifully restored Grade 1 listed 16th Century former merchant’s town house, located just a stone’s throw away from the iconic Newcastle Tyne Bridge.
House of Tides is a 60 cover restaurant which is set over two floors. The rustic ground floor entrance level with its original 16th century flagstones, exposed brickwork & historical features provides an excellent venue for a pre-meal drink. The first floor which houses the main restaurant seating area has exposed beams, big open fire place and window views over the River Tyne.
Our vision for House of Tides was to create a casual and informal space where everybody should feel comfortable and relaxed with no compromise on quality.
Kenny’s passion for seasonality and sourcing the best quality ingredients available from our North East and UK larder is translated through his classically trained, yet modern day inspired dishes and showcased over a daily changing tasting menu for both lunch and dinner.
