Welcome to the House of Tides

Kenny & Abbie would like to welcome you to their first restaurant “House of Tides”.

Opened in February 2014 and set within the beautifully restored Grade 1 listed 16th Century former merchant’s town house.  Located on the historic Newcastle quayside and just a stone’s throw away from the iconic Tyne Bridge.

House of Tides is a 50 cover restaurant which is set over two floors. The more rustic ground floor entrance level with its 16th century flagstones, provides an excellent venue for a pre-dinner drink. The first floor which houses the main restaurant seating area has exposed original wood beams and provides the more relaxed and casual setting for your meal.

Our Food

At House of Tides our ambition is to offer our guests a memorable dining experience.

To surprise and delight with both our food and drinks selection.

We offer one seasonally driven tasting menu nightly & typically comprises of 7 to 12 servings.

We work very closely with our local suppliers, so we simply let them “the experts” decide for us what produce is at their best and what goes on our menu.

Therefore, the menu may look different week by week or day by day.  This now allows us to produce a whole menu fresh each day according to the very best & freshest produce available, giving us complete control over every element of our menu, using only local, seasonal, sustainable produce.
